Insomnia

According to recent polls, over a third of adults in the US complain of problems with getting a good night’s sleep. Almost half of those describe symptoms of functional impairment during the day, such as poor concentration, fatigue, irritability, and reduced productivity.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that unresolved insomnia can lead to significant health problems and insufficient sleep is a public health epidemic, contributing to chronic illnesses and conditions, increased mortality, and reduced quality of life and productivity.

The most effective approaches combine Sleep Hygiene practices as well as Stress Management techniques that address the underlying relational, mental, and emotional contributors.
